Florida’s unprecedented population growth over the past half-century has led to suburban sprawl, massive social changes, and serious environmental concerns. This issue of FORUM ponders some of these issues, including the state’s political transformation; its beautiful, endangered water sources; the bicultural lives of immigrants; and New Urbanist thoughts about sprawl.
